ISO 45001:2018 is the globally recognised standard for occupational health and safety management systems. It gives organisations a structured Plan–Do–Check–Act framework to prevent work-related injury and ill health, manage OH&S risks, and continually improve performance.
Important: Using SafetyOS does not mean your organisation is ISO 45001 certified. Certification is voluntary and is awarded by an independent accredited certification body after audit of your management system. In Ireland, occupational safety and health is overseen by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA). The core statute is the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, supported by regulations including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013 (as amended).
Important: SafetyOS helps you organise and evidence site safety activity. It does not transfer legal duty. Employers, clients, designers, project supervisors and contractors remain responsible for compliance with Irish law. Always treat HSA guidance and the statute book as authoritative.

The GDPR protects personal data of individuals in the EEA. SafetyOS Ltd is an Irish company. We design the platform so customer organisations can process workforce and site data in a structured, auditable way, and we process account and website data as a controller where we determine the purposes.
Roles: For most operational site data you enter into SafetyOS (workers, inductions, incidents, etc.), you are the controller and SafetyOS acts as your processor. For our own marketing site, trial accounts and billing relationship data, SafetyOS is typically the controller. See the for detail.
Under GDPR, people may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and rights related to automated decision-making (where applicable). How a request is handled depends on who is the controller:
Where any subprocessors or tools involve transfers outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under GDPR (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses), and we keep the set of providers under review as the product evolves.

SafetyOS Ltd is an Irish company providing construction safety software and related documentation services.
Your organisation decides what operational personal data to upload and why. You should have a lawful basis and worker privacy notice covering that processing.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, we balance those interests against your rights. You may object where the GDPR provides that right.
We use trusted service providers to host infrastructure, deliver email/forms, and operate the product. They process data only on our instructions (or your organisation’s instructions where we are a processor) and under appropriate contracts. We do not sell personal data.
We may disclose data if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (with safeguards).
Primary application data is hosted with an EU orientation. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, we use GDPR-approved transfer tools (such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing, and you may withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. We use essential cookies / local storage for sign-in sessions and core site operation. We do not run a separate advertising cookie programme on the marketing site. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential storage may prevent sign-in from working.
